Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a husband and father. I'm a banker and an exercise freak. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married just over 8 years now and we have been blessed with a wonderful baby girl that's turning two later this year. Our family is rounded out with our two dogs. I've been in banking for nearly a decade now and it's a pretty good gig and provides for our family. Outside of work I love to exercise and spend time with my family, mostly hanging out on our deck in the evenings and taking walks through the neighborhood. We're pretty much the typical family next door.

Why I am a Mormon

Unlike my wife, I have not always been a member of the Mormon Church. To be honest, before I started dating my wife, I really didn't even know what a Mormon was. What helped me on my way to becoming a Mormon was that the gospel just made sense. In addition to having scriptures like the Bible and the Book of Mormon, things like modern-day prophets, apostles and revelation, priesthood authority, and the purpose of the Temple show that the Lord's work continues today and under this direction and authority. In this constantly changing world, being Mormon helps we remember who I am, where I came from, and the divine potential given to me from my Heavenly Father. It reminds me to live my life within the bounds the Lord as set, and that true happiness comes through living his gospel. It's not always easy, but I've come to know that it’s worth it.

How I live my faith

With all of the "rules" Mormons try to live by this can seem like a big task. But the Lord knows me and my limitations, and I try each day to be a little better. I emphasis try, as I am not always sucessful. But, by not giving up I know I'm living my faith. The gospel is here to give us hope, not beat us into submission. I also live my faith by serving in the Church through our Sunday School Program. Also, as a preisthood holder I am able to give blessings to those in need. It's a tremendous privilge to be able to act in the name of Lord in order to help others.
