Hi I'm Angie

I'm a full-time wife and mom, a college graduate, a sports enthusiast, a preschool teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full-time wife and mom to three beautiful kids! I have a college degree in elementary education, and I taught full-time until I had my first child. I now have the opportunity to teach preschool two mornings a week. I am an avid reader and I love to learn new things. I am a serious sports fan, with a special place in my heart for the Denver Broncos and my alma mater, BYU. I always say my favorite season of the year is football season! Even though I love to watch a good game, my very favorite thing to do is spend time doing something fun with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed to my Father in Heaven, and I have received a testimony that it is true. Being a member of the LDS church brings direction, structure, comfort, and peace to my life. I know that when I pray I can receive answers to the problems in my life, and I would be lost without that guidance. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ brings me a sense of peace that I cannot find anywhere else, and it sustains me when I am experiencing trials in my life. As a wife and mother, my family is the most precious thing I have in my life. I know, through the teachings of the church, that we can be a family forever and not just on this earth. That gives me the courage and strength I need to continue on in the daily grind, knowing that I am on this earth for a reason, and that if I live the way that God wants me to, I can return to live with Him again someday, surrounded by those I love the most. As our three children get older and experience some of the "growing pains" of life, our membership in the church helps them to make good choices and understand their true worth. They know that they are children of God, and that it's important for them to remember the Lord in all that they do. To me, being a Mormon means that we have a foundation for all that we do in our family, and that we can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I know that I am blessed when I do what my Heavenly Father wants me to do, so I strive to do those things every day. I pray every day, I read the scriptures, and I go to church to learn more. I have experienced the wonderful blessings that come from doing these things. I have had many callings in the church, working with children, teaching adults, and leading the teenagers. I am currently serving as a Cub Scout den leader, and it is so fun! I love that our church has something to offer for people of all ages, and every member is important. I also love that everyone has the opportunity to serve in some capacity, and I am grateful for the members of the church who serve our family in many different ways. I also live my faith by teaching my family and encouraging them to live the gospel every day. We have family home evening and spend time together learning and growing. We try to remember the Savior in all that we do, and let that guide our choices.
