Hi I'm Jess

I I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I am a 32 year old married mom of 3 girls. There are lots of tears and drama at my house but we love it! (Most of the time.) I have a degree in psychology that I mostly use in trying to be a better parent. I absolutely love to read and if I could, I would do that all the time. I love to take pictures and craft. I have no artisitic ability in the traditional sense (as in a can barely draw a stick figure) so I use the crafting and photography as an outlet for my pent up creative energy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have studied and prayed and put the doctrine to the test. The Savior Himself taught us that, "by their fruits, ye shall know them." I have felt that. I have lived the teachings and followed the commandments as best I can and used the Atonement of my Savior when I have fallen short and I can say that without a doubt our Savior lives. He restored His gospel to the Earth after it was lost due to unbelief. He stands at the head of this church, using His prophet to lead and guide and show ALL the way. Many think that commandments are restrictive and controlling. Those who follow the command of the Lord to do the will of the Father truly come to know the doctrine.

How I live my faith

I am working with the 14-15 year old girls in my ward right now and I have found that I love that age even though it isn't an easy time to go through yourself or to help someone through. I really love watching them find their own voices and feel the love that their Savior has for them. I also recently served as a ward camp director and that was a blast. There is something about getting away from the world and being in nature to really help you understand the scope of why we are here and every person who has this experience comes to understand that we are truly children of God and his one goal in life is to help us return to Him.
