Hi I'm Amy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Amy. I was raised in the LDS church. I served a mission for the LDS church in Portugal. I married a man that was a convert to the church. We were sealed in an LDS Temple. We now have 3 children. I love being a mom, and I love how the church focuses on the importance of mothers. I could not have a better job than being a wife and mother. I grew up in a very LDS community, so being a member was not a hard thing. For me, it was easy to live the standards. Now my husband and I live someplace where the church is not as big. A lot of people in our area know nothing about Mormons, except for all the misconceptions about them. It has been a real eye-opener to me, and has helped me to be very thankful for my beliefs and staying true to them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, so that is why I am Mormon. When I got older, I made the choice to be Mormon. I have siblings that didn't make that choice. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was the word of God. I had to make the decision for myself that the LDS church was Heavenly Father's church. I did this and I received my answer that it is true and the Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. On my mission, I was questioned many times about my faith, and I always rembered the scripture in the Bible that Joseph Smith read. We can ask Heavenly Father and he will answer us. I know this is true. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Heavenly Father's church and the only true church on the earth. I am thankful to be LDS, and know that it gives me more strength than anything!

How I live my faith

I am over the women's organization in our church at this time. This is a huge calling for me. I would not be able to do it without the help of some wonderful women to help me, and also without Heavenly Father's help. It is an awesome responsibility to help the women in our church to continue to feel Christ's love and to live good lives. It is my goal for every woman, and also everyone to know how much their Heavenly Father and Jesus love them! I try to live my faith every day by setting a good example and I teach my children the same thing. I truly believe people will want to know more about our faith because of the example we set by living our faith.
