Hi I'm Eric.

I'm a Mormon. Two years after we married, my wife and I both became members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I have worked as a plant scientist for more than 30 years. Even though some think that science and religion are contradictory, I feel that my faith enlarges my perspective, affords me the opportunity for unique insights and gives me a great reverence for life. I feel very fortunate to have the knowledge of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ because it has strengthened my family immeasurably. My wife and I have three grown daughters. To my 3 year old grandson I am known officially as "Grand-Dad"! We love to explore outside and go an adventures.

Why I am a Mormon

When we first were married, a colleague at my work shared the basic beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with me after racquetball. I learned that his family was very closely knit and that he viewed his children with dignity, love and respect. Because his family life was based on the Gospel of Christ as restored by Joseph Smith, it was evident that the key to his loving home was in the values which they all shared. Within a few months, my wife and I called to have the Missionaries visit us and teach us about Heavenly Father's Plan. In reading the Book of Mormon, and praying to know whether or not it was a true record, I received a firm conviction that this could only have come from God. We were soon baptized and began enjoying the blessings of the restored Gospel centered on Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Now that our daughters are grown and our nest is empty, my wife and I are able to spend more time serving others. We are involved with the group of young single adults. What a great time we have with them! Some are preparing to serve missions around the world, some are working, some are going to college and some are doing all three! We provide a "home away from home" on Monday nights when he have "family night". We can give them the benefit our our experience and they enliven us with their energy and enthusiasm! They are such wonderful people! We love them all so much.
