Hi I'm Kim Bowman

I'm a woman who loves being a mother, wife, and friend. One of my biggest goals in life is to have FUN. I'm a Morman.

About Me

I grew up on a farm in Missouri, spent 8 years in the Air Force after highschool and ended up moving back home and marrying a farmer. I have 3 great kids that i adore. I ride horses, go boating, skiing, hiking, camping, and just about anything thats fun. Games, movies and eating out are my sources of entertainment in the off seasons. I Love to travel, especially to warm places during the winter months. I enjoy friends and we get together often. Giving service is important, there's a lot of satisfaction that comes with helping others. I'm very engaged in life, there is always something to do. Life is GOOD!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with very little religous background. The first 25 years of my life, I call my floundering year. It's the "not knowing why I'm here" era of my life. My parents instilled in me a sence of honesty and compassion and other good virtues and a good work ethic, but nothing that answered the questions of where I came from, where I'm going or why I'm here. I found a non denominational christian church while i was in the air force stationed far away from home. It was great and got me on the right track, but when I moved home there was not another one like it in my area. My sister had joined the morman church while I was away and she was anxious to tell me about it and luckly I was ready to listen. What I found was answers to so many questions. I had learned much while in my previous church; I just didn't realize how much more knowledge was available. I found that there was living prophet who receives current revelation; It felt so right that the lord had not left us to figure it all out on our own. My testimony grew as I learned all the good things the church did and expected from it's members. I joined in 1989, and I have a wonderful relationship with my savior, Jesus Christ, and he has helped me become a better person. I love life and all the good and bad that comes with it, because now I know where I came from, where I'm going and Why I'm here.

How I live my faith

Currently I'm in charge of the womens organization in our ward. I've also been in charge of the young womens group and I've been assigned to the small children a few times. There is never a shortage of things to do for your church family. It's important to live the life you believe in and follow through on commitments. Knowing everyday that I'm trying to do and say things the savior would, keeps me motivated. I fall flat on my face regularly but then thats way Jesus died isn't it? He provided a way for us to say "dang I messed up, I'm sorry and I'll do better next time, please forgive me!", and like magic we get to start all over again, always trying to do better. My thankfulness in being able to raise my children in the gospel is unequivocal. To be raised knowing that God and Jesus love you no matter what is such a gift for a child and knowing they have to answer to them as well as you is a parental blessing. Everyone needs a heavenly father to help them raise their children, it's such a hard job. I try and live each day with a prayer in my heart and I try to take on every task and conflict with the thought of "what would Jesus have me do or say". It's a good life, I feel I'm just like so many other people trying to get through this life in the best possible way.
