Hi I'm Cody

I am married and we have two children. As a family we love the outdoors and my wife and I enjoy running and triathlons.

About Me

My wife and I are high school sweethearts and love being together as much as possible. We have two amazing kids who are (almost) always keeping us laughing. I am grateful for my family and all they do for me. My wife graduated from ASU with a degree in Health and Exercise Wellness, and applying what she learned into both of our hobbies. She also does photography on the side. I graduated from ASU with a BS in Construction Management and then continued on and received and MBA. I work in the construction industry and enjoy my work.

Why I am a Mormon

I am thankful for my Savior and all that He has blessed me with. Everyday I give thanks to God for everything that I have. I am grateful for the LDS church and how it helps me realize how I need to improve. I know that I am not perfect, nor is any person in the Church but I do believe that this is His church and that he guides it the same way he has guided His church since the beginning of time- through a prophet. I pray that if you are thinking about learning more about the church you can be blessed with the courage to open your heart and meet with the missionaries. The church will help you realize just how much God loves you.

How I live my faith

I love competing and pushing myself, and that is what draws me to compete in triathlons. I have enjoyed how it has helped me realize my own weaknesses and strengths and working on them continually. I completed my first Ironman distance triathlon this year and plan to do more and get faster. I feel that living a life of faith is similar to living an active life and staying healthy. Surely it would be easier to sleep in every morning and not work out, but everyday that I do wake up and work out I am glad I did it. The same is true with my faith. Sure it may seem easier and more fun to do what I want and ignore what I feel I should be doing, such as going to church, serving others, or sacrificing for God. However, every time that I do these things I am glad that I do. And the more I do them, the more I learn, the closer to Him I become. Every day I make a choices which will either make my body stronger or weaker physically. I realize that the same is true spiritually. I try to live my life by making choices that will bring me closer to God. The word of God is my spiritual training program, and I know that this Church has the word of God. I know that the Bible is the word of God as far as it is translated correctly, I also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God and that we have a prophet today that guides us just as he always has.
