Hi I'm Amber

I grew up in Sterling, CO. I worked in schools helping special needs kids and adults. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom of 4 kids, 2 grown and out of the house 2 whom I share custody with their dad. I also have one very happy grandson. I work part time in the schools helping special needs students. I was divorced not too long ago after 2 years of hard times to finalize it. It has been very rough on me & my kids. We are still struggling with moving forward. Just dealing with things one day at a time. Also trying to deal with depression & other health issues makes things even more of a challenge. My favorite job though is being a homemaker and raising my children. I love all of my children more than anything in this world. They are my life. They give me purpose & meaning. I also love making homemade crafts and baking goodies to share with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this church is true. I have a stong belief and burning inside my heart everytime I go to church and learn more about the gospel. The more I study and search and pray about the gospel the more I feel this safety and burning and complete peace inside. I have faith to know we have a Heavenly Father who loves us very much and wants more for us out of life. He wants us to find that complete happiness and to be able to perfect our faults so that we may be able to return to him again. Each day that I study the scriptures & the teachings of the gospel I understand more about my mission here on earth & the complete plan of happiness & what I need to do to perfect my life so that i may return to my heavenly father. I am also so grateful for my mother who has been my rock and such a wonderful example of how I should live. She has been the one who has helped to keep my testimomy about the gospel strong. Even when life was not the greatest for me. She never gave up on me and has given me a lot of guidance to keep me focused on how much the gospel keeps me happy inside. The gospel is something that you can never doubt or deny and let go. I am grateful for the gospel in my life and for the Atonement of my savior Jesus Christ who made up for my shortcomings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many ways by setting a good example and giving lots of service. I volunteer a lot in the schools in the classrooms and also I am a leader in boy scouts. I have served many other ways in the community. I was on several school boards and in a group who serve the community called the Jaycees. But the service I enjoy the most is serving as a youth leader in church and also serving in my visiting teaching assignments. I am a people person and I really love serving others and learning from others too. I have learned that everyday is a new challenge and a new day to serve my Heavenly Father by serving his children no matter what I'm asked to do.
