Hi I'm Mark

I grew up in Colo Springs Co. I recived a BS in Marketing from USU, I now own a small Home Building Co In Gilbert Arizona.

About Me

I am a Husband to a great woman 30 years, a father of three awesome sons and the very best daughter in-law, a grandpa to the cutest and smartest granddaughter. One might say I am proud of my family. By vocation I am a General Contractor building single family homes in Gilbert AZ. After graduating from Utah State University we move to Gilbert Arizona, and I started to build. We have been here for over 20 years now. Yes it is hot, but they say it’s a dry heat. Put your head in the oven at 120 you will get the picture. I love to scuba dive; I am amazed at the beauty of our earth both above and below sea level. I race my Corvette Z06, fast is the only way to go, the black streak. I Shoot skeet, not a hunter but like to shoot at cans and clays. Travel, I have been allot of places and have many more to visit.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the faith, you might say. My mother a Mormon and my father a Methodist. Both were strong in there faiths. After a few years of marriage my father was converted to, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Growing up In Colorado Springs Colorado, there weren’t very many members close by, so most of my close friends were not of my faith. I have great friends; all supported me in my beliefs, even though they may not have shared them. I believed the things I was taught, and trusted in my parent’s faith. I saw good in the church, but I had to find out for myself. I read the book of Mormon and was always active in and lived the standards of the church. I felt it was right but I can’t say I really knew. While in my early 20’s I was in a small branch of the church. The people were all very nice and good people, but there were very different to the degree that they lived there faith. This is when and where the spirit of God bore witness to me that the Gospel of Jesus Christ had been restored to the earth the gospel is pure and true. However we as members are all children of God doing the best we can. None of us perfect, we are just trying to be better and at different levels of progression. I know God Lives and is the Father of our spirits, Jesus is the Christ, and it is though him that we may redeemed of our sins. I believe in a present day prophet and work to follow his council. I am a Mormon, better yet a Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

Wow! How do I live my Faith? Good question. I am a sinner; I am tempted each and every day by the powers of the devil, just as we all are. I am not perfect, far from that. Every day I try to do better that the day before. What does that mean well, am I kind and helpful to my fellow man, am I Christ-like to all mankind, do I judge not? Was I kind and helpful to my wife, did I show love to my children. Am I a friend to those in need? Did I help the poor? Do I stand up for good? Some days I do better than others. I have my faults but I keep trying. I have a long ways to go, one day at a time. If I listen to the voice of the prophets in scripture and present-day revelation I can gain the strength and faith to do better.
