Hi I'm Jay

I'm a Mormon. I am a father of six, living in Virginia. I work in an office, so I love to get outdoors anytime I possibly can.

About Me

I am a father of six. I have lived most of my life in Arizona, and recently moved to the Washington, D.C. area for work. I like to travel and see new places. I appreciate listening to other people's positive life experiences and things they have learned in life. I love the outdoors, golfing, camping, hiking, riding ATVs. Spending time doing these things with my family, friends and neighbors is what I most like to do. My youngest children love to fish, and we go to our local urban lakes whenever we can.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the center of the Church's religious teachings. Jesus Christ called and ordained Apostles in the Church when he was on the earth, and has called Apostles in our times as well. Some people think that religion is a "crutch" to support the weak. In the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and as a Mormon, each of us (including me) serve as a support and strength to others. We are the "crutch". It's through our service and love for each other that the Gospel is represented and great things can be done, together. I am thankful for Jesus Christ and the example, teachings, and sacrifice that he has provided to me and that I can read and learn through the Holy Scriptures. I want to share this with my children, and give them a foundation of knowing who they are and how they can be happy in this life and eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in lots of ways. I teach my children to pray and learn about their Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I teach them that it's important to do and say what is right and always to be in the right place at the right time. I care about my neighbors and neighborhood. We like to spend time with our neighbors out front when the weather is nice. We participate in activities in the community and local schools.
