Hi I'm Kamery

I live in Arizona. I just started my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a new mother of a beautiful baby girl. I love staying home with her when I'm not at school! Currently, I'm studying theatre at my hometown college, but I hope to someday maybe move to a place where I can perform professionally more often. I love musical theatre the best; there's something about the way a song can "say" something to you and it will mean more to you than anything else could have. I hope to someday be able to touch someone's heart with the music I create the way that others have touched mine. I also enjoy my job as a photographer and getting to meet the fabulous youth in my area that come to take pictures. Maybe someday I'll write a good book too just like my mom did. I love my family and would do anything or give anything up for them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church, but there was a point in my life when I didn't think it was true. My grandmother, one of my best friends, had suddenly passed away. She was no longer going to be there for me, she would miss my wedding, never meet my kids, I would never be able to feel her warm embrace around me again. I remember thinking "There must be no God, because if there was He would not have done this to me." The months that followed were very sad and lonely. I still went to church with my family but I didn't really take anything in from it. I went on as normal even though I felt like my heart was broken for good. I felt that everything I had been taught was a lie. That summer, during girls camp, I was working with some girls in another ward with very sweet and amazing spirits. I was going through the motions and read my scriptures with them. I don't remember what I read, but I do remember feeling like I had made the biggest mistake in my life by turning away from my Heavenly Father. I felt that my grandmother was still with me and that she was helping me. I felt that she still lives, just as my Savior does. I came back to my beliefs and to the church with peace in my heart. I have since been married and had a child and I have no doubt that she was there because I know that my family will be together for eternity, thanks to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The church has given me everything I ever wanted- a family to hold and keep forever no matter what may happen to us here on Earth.

How I live my faith

My husband and I are the eight-year-old's teachers in our ward. We love learning with our class! I always feel that my testimony has grown just by being there with them. We live in an area where a lot of the memebers of the church are also. However, there aren't as many members in the theatre program at my school and I enjoy talking to them about my beliefs. I have no secrets when it comes to the Gospel; if someone wants to know something then I will tell them.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Kamery
For me, everything around me testifies that there is a God. I don't believe that everything worked so well together on accident, I believe that someone has created it all. Another thing that tells me there is a God is the feeling that I get when praying. Someone is listening to me and answering me, I have no doubt about it. Show more Show less
