Hi I'm Adam

I live in downtown Chicago with my wife. I play classical piano for fun. I work for a technology company. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I married my best friend 4 years ago and we love living life together. I enjoy reading, listening and learning from others, playing the piano, being outside, playing tennis, and spending time with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the deep values that are rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At a young age my family would teach me right from wrong. Ultimately I had to figure out what I believed and what I was going to stand by. After leaving my home and teaching other people about Jesus Christ and His Gospel for a couple of years, I realized how blessed I was to have the knowledge of Christ's Atonement and His teachings. I know that the church and teachings that Jesus Christ instituted when He was on the earth 2000 years ago is now restored on the Earth today. What a marvelous blessing it is to know that God still cares about His children. Today there is a living prophet who leads and guides The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

Being a good member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is best shown by being a good example. I try to be kind to others, serve those around me, and do what Jesus Christ would have me do. Oftentimes it is hard to stay on track but that's why I attend church services each week and read the scriptures daily. These two activities help remind me of what my purpose on this earth is and how I can be more like the Savior. Prayer, of course, is the link that keeps my life from falling apart. I can call upon my Heavenly Father for anything. Currently, I get to visit with two families at least once a month to see how they are doing and do enjoy our friendship. It is a great way to lift up others and in turn be lifted up.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Adam
Everyone will be resurrected, thanks to the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Life is not over after we leave this earth. Jesus taught in the scriptures that there are "many mansions" in heaven. Therefore, we interpret that to mean each person will be judged by God and have a chance to obtain the highest kingdom and live with Him. Others who are not as faithful and obedient will live forever in one of the other kingdoms. Everyone will get a chance to hear about Jesus Christ and to choose to follow Him. God is merciful and wants all of His children to return to live with Him. Show more Show less
