Hi I'm Ashton

I'm an AZ girl, recently relocated to Colorado. I'm an aunt, friend, daughter, and wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Mesa, Arizona to the most incredible family a girl could ask for. I am the youngest of 5 girls, with 13 nieces and nephews. My family means the world to me. I just recently graduated from BYU in History Teaching, and hope to return to the classroom before long. I am currently managing several online stores for a local Promotional Products company. Just one week after graduation, I was lucky enough to marry the greatest man I know in the Mesa temple. Sharing this experience with my entire family is something I will never forget. We are currently living in Colorado, working and enjoying newlywed life together. I love to run, read, cook, play/watch sports, shop, and eat anything with a little extra sugar on it. I am a 22 year old girl loving life and looking forward to what the future has in store.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a a member of the Church, and was baptized by my dad at the age of 8. The church has always been an important part of my life. At the age of 11, I decided to read the Book of Mormon and pray for a knowledge of its truthfullness. I did not fly through the book. Many things I did not understand. But in this simple experience, I felt of my Fathers love. I knew that the words I had been reading were the words of God, and that this church was true. From that point on, I never looked back. I received a testimony of my own. All we have to do is ask. We have a loving Heavenly Father who wants the best for each of us. Our Father's love is so great, that he sent his Son, who died for us, so we have the chance to return and live with Him again. The Book of Mormon is the word of God, another testament of Jesus Christ. We have a living prophet on the earth today to lead us in the right direction for eternity. I find such comfort in the doctrine that families can be together forever. By striving to live the best I can now, many blessings are in store in this life and the next. I am a Mormon because living in such a way brings me the greatest happiness. I am a Mormon because the church teaches me to be an all around better person. I am a Mormon because there is no other way I would want to live. I am a Mormon because I know it is true.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith in everything I do. In life, I try to set a good example of what it means to "be Mormon." To serve in the church, I have been asked to teach the 12 and 13 year olds about the gospel. My husband and I are lucky enough to teach together. I am grateful for the opportunity that I have to practice my passion of teaching. I absolutely love the kids in our class, and hope that we can plant a small seed of courage and faith that will help them through the challenges that life will bring. To live my faith, I am trying to progress towards the woman I hope to become. I make an effort to read my scriptures everyday, to pray fervently to my Father in Heaven often, to be a better wife, and to find opportunities to serve. I am far from perfect, and make mistakes every day. But the way I live my faith is by attempting to be the best servant I can be.
