Hi I'm Dennis

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of six children and a grandfather of eight grandchildren. I enjoy all sports but especially like American Football, Basketball and baseball. My favorite teams are the Dallas Cowboys because I am from Texas and the LA Lakers because I spent four years of my youth in southern California and the New York Yankees. I am the son of a Vietnam Vet who served our country for 21 years. He was a great example to me. I have been married to my beautiful wife for 28 wonderful years not without trials but she has stood by me and helped me through it all. We have lived in many states in this country.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church but did not have a testimony of the gospel. When I met my wife and we were gong to have a family all of the teaching that I learned from my youth came back to me. I knew that if I was to be successful as a father and a husband that I would need the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. My wife joined the church and we began our family. We have been sealed in the temple and the gospel has provided much strength and comfort through the trials of life. The knowledge and great peace that is felt by the gospel is what makes me want to be a Mormon. I know that the gospel is true and that Joseph Smith did see God and that he restored the church of Jesus Christ to this earth. I know that we are lead by a prophet of God today in President Thomas Monson. I know that these things are true and the peace that I receive knowing these things helps me live each day.

How I live my faith

I am a weblos leader in my ward. I serve the 10 year old boys to help them achieve their Weblo badge and their arrow of light. I also serve as the teacher in my elders quorum. It is a great opportunity to teach the work of god to the bretheren of my ward. I am a home teacher for two wonderful families. It is a great opportunity to assist the leaders of our ward in ensuring the saints are doing well.
