Hi I'm Leana (pronounced Lee-na)

I am originally from a small town in Wyoming and currently live in Colorado with my husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have been married for 14 years. He is my very best friend. We love spending time together. We love to travel. Our vacation to England has been our favorite vacation so far.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was 3 years old and I was baptized when I was 8. It wasn't until I was living on my own in college that I truly gained a testimony of the Gospel. In times of trials or even when I am feeling down I can draw upon my testimony and the knowledge that I have of the gospel to give me comfort and get me through the struggles that I might have.

How I live my faith

In our church we have "callings" or duties that we are asked to perform. They can be anything from a nursery leader to leading the music in Sacrement meeting on Sundays. I am currently serving in the leadership of our women's group. Part of my duties include training the instructors that teach the lessons on Sunday to our group. I am also a Visiting Teacher. I am assigned, along with a partner, two or three women in our congregation to visit each month. I love visiting teaching. I have made lifelong friends with my companions and with the sweet sisters that I have been given to visit. I try to be a good example of my faith to people that I come in contact with. I love to serve in the church. When I am serving others I am able to forget my problems. I always try to remember the covenant that I made when I was baptized that I would be willing to “bear one another's burdens, that they may be light,” to “mourn with those that mourn,” and to “comfort those that stand in need of comfort” (Mosiah 18:8-9). By remembering this scripture I am able to focus on the needs of others and I am not so selfish.
