Hi I'm Doug

I work in construction and I love to build things. I have a beautiful wife and baby boy. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love building things and find joy in seeing a project go from start to finish. Cars are a passion of mine as well. I enjoy boating and wakeboarding with family and friends. I have a lovely wife, a beautiful baby boy, and a wonderful home. Life is great.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in a Mormon household. I was taught the correct principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know for myself that what I was taught is true. Everything that has happened in my life is a testimony to the truthfulness of my religion. Everyday I am happy and confident that I am on the right path, and it makes life wonderful.

How I live my faith

Working construction, there are times that I interact with some rough people. It is amazing to see how much change can be brought to a whole crew just by a simple example. Living my faith doesn't mean preaching to everyone, it just means acting how I know is right and refraining from doing and saying things I know are wrong. That example can be contagious. I enjoy going to church every Sunday and keeping the sabbath day holy. There is no better way to start the week than by worshiping the Lord and trying to emulate His example during the week. I have the opportunity to teach a class twice a month at church. This class of 30-40 adult men invigorates me and helps me want to be better. It is great to have input from other men who are living the daily grind just like me and trying to follow the Lord.
