Hi I'm Josh

I'm a father. I'm a student. I'm a fisherman. I'm a gamer. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a graduate student, studying clinical counseling and psychology. In my free time I garden, play video games, fish, and hunt. I have a toddler son and a daughter due to be born this fall. My wife and I were married in the Winter-quarters Temple in May of 2009.

Why I am a Mormon

I found true happiness in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I searched several faiths and churches before I found this one. It was through sincere prayer and years of searching scripture before I came to realize what it means to follow Christ. I find the principles of the Church to be true through confirmation from the Holy Ghost and my own studying of the Holy Bible and Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping others. Christ taught us to first love God with all our hearts, minds, and souls; then to love our neighbors as ourselves. My love for God is personal, private, and sacred; my love for my fellows on this Earth is an outward expression of that faith. I show this through service to others, by teaching Sunday School, and by being supportive and kind to anyone I encounter.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Faith in Jesus Christ encourages us to follow His simple and loving path. By implementing the love of Christ in our relationships, we find that they are strengthened. Christ taught charity, love, compassion, and service. By adding these elements to a marriage, family, or friendship, those relationships will be made stronger and you'll find yourself closer to the ones you love. Show more Show less
