Hi I'm Jake

I grew up in south-west USA I'm a network administrator and a happy family man. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Jacob James. I work as a network administrator for employment. I work on computers on the side and also work with them as one of my hobbies. I have many other hobbies including diesel technology, astronomy, the outdoors, and home theater. My wife, Alisa and I have been married for 12 years. We were never able to have our own children and turned to adoption. Two years ago we adopted a beautiful little girl who is now 5 years old. She is the light of our lives. We enjoy being a family together and hope that we can add 1 or 2 more children to our family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have received a personal witness from the Spirit that this church is true. I have had many, many, many experiences that have helped my testimony to grow. I read the scriptures on a daily basis and have read the Book of Mormon many times. Each time that I start again, I recieve again, a personal witness that its true. I pay close attention to how I feel about the things that I see, hear, and read when it comes to spiritual things. I feel such comfort when the spirt bears witness of the truth in my heart. My wife and I both received powerful spiritual confirmation that our daughter was always meant to be a part of our family.

How I live my faith

I have a wonderful calling in the church. I serve as the Ward Executive Secretary. I feel it is a very special blessing and privilege to serve the leadership of the ward. It takes more of my time than any previous calling, but I don't mind the time spent. I feel it is an honor, and the Lord has already sent a ton of blessings my way. I strive to complete my home teaching and have been given wonderful families to teach each month. My knowlege of the gospel continues to grow as I prepare and teach a new home teaching lesson each month.

What is faith?

I love the concept of faith. I find that moving forward with faith is so rewarding when you receive a witness of the truth after a trial. Show more Show less
