Hi I'm Emilie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’ve been married for 12 years now and have 4 wonderful children. I enjoy sewing, hunting, decorating, photography, sports and traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. My parents were converts, my dad not having much religion in his home and my mom raised as a stout Lutheran. The missionaries were invited into their home one evening and not long after my parents were both baptized into the church. My dad struggled to stay active while my mom stayed persistent and faithful. My mom taught me many things by her example and I am so grateful that she stayed strong and did her best to get six kids to church every Sunday. Fast forward 30 years…. I now find myself struggling to get 4 kids to church every Sunday on time! I am so grateful that I have been a member of the church my whole life. The gospel of Jesus Christ has completely shaped who I am today. I realized at a young age that I have a Heavenly Father that truly knows and loves me. That knowledge is such a great comfort to me and is something I hold dear to. By living the gospel principles I am able to draw closer to my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ. Knowing that I am a daughter of God and that I am part of His great plan lifts me spiritually in a way that I can’t comprehend.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best each day. I’m not perfect and have many weaknesses, but I know that my Heavenly Father still loves me regardless. I try to follow my Savior’s example and implement His teachings into my life. His life was filled with love and service. I always try to look for opportunities to do good, whether it be within my own family or with people I don’t know. The great thing about the church is that everyone is given the opportunity to serve. There is something so rewarding and fulfilling that comes from willingly giving service to others.
