Hi I'm Alex Agee

I'm a beat lovin', pizza eatin, tree hugging, sax playin cat and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the greatest state in the union--Alabama. I am a avid reader and I love to go swimming whenever and whereever I can. The only thing I enjoy more than those two things is eating pizza. I am a Eagle Scout and have spent several summers working at a Boy Scout camp. I have a deep love for the outdoors I have spent many weekends chilling in it. Heavy bass and treble is the real sound of my heartbeat; it sounds a whole lot like reggae. Other music that is just as integral to who i am is Hip-hop, jazz, blues, R&B, classical, country, and polka. Just kidding on the last one.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon completely out of my own choice. I was not born in the church but instead was lead by the hand of the Lord into His fold. In the beginning, I knew there was a God; even in my earliest days, I had known he was real. He had made himself known unto me in little ways as I was growing up. I thank my mom and dad for showing me how to know he was real by going to church, reading my scriptures, and by sincere prayers to my Father in heaven. This is what set the stage for me to later accept the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ as the word of God. When I was about 14 years old my parents got divorced and as a result I decided that I did not want anything to do with God. My mother relentlessly tried to get me to go to a church but I refused and if she did get me there I would walk out about 10 minutes later and find a corner to read a book. My mom's fervent prayer was that I would once again return to God. Her prayer was answered when two Mormon missionaries knocked on the door and talked with me. They then proceeded to teach my mom, little sister, and me about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. We were later baptized and I am now serving as a missionary in the Texas Houston South Mission sharing that same message that has blessed our family's lives.

How I live my faith

Right now I am currently serving a two-year full time mission in which I share gospel of Jesus Christ in its entirety. After my mission, though I am planning to serve those around me and always stand at the ready to give an answer for the hope that is in me. Also, I try to live my faith by always being ready to serve in the church wherever the Lord calls me.
