Hi I'm Jeremy

I'm a Mormon. I am a teacher, Cub Scout leader, and coach. My family is the most important thing to me in this world next to God.

About Me

I am a teacher by profession so I can be very involved in my children's lives. I have an MBA but have chosen to go into education instead of business so I can spend more time with my family. I have 5 children 4 boys and 1 girl. I am involved in all aspects of their lives. I do Cub Scouts, karate, football, baseball, basketball and soccer with all my children. I teach so I can have their same schedule and spend with them as much time as I can. My wife runs a dance studio in the town we live in. We are both involved with helping the youth in our community. My wife and I work hard to provide opportunities for our children that we did not have when we were young. We do all we can to not only help our own children but all of the children in our community. We have found that helping others has blessed our lives greatly and brought with it many friendships.

Why I am a Mormon

I have an unusual upbringing. My parents divorced when I was 7. They both were Mormon and had raised me in that church. My mother, a year later, remarried a man of the Jewish faith. My father remarried a woman of the Catholic faith. I was raised learning about all 3 religions. When I was old enough I had the opportunity to chose which one best fit me. After growing up with these 3 religions in my life and taking a year of comparative religion in college, I was able to make a very informed decision on the faith which I chose to follow. I felt at that time I made my decision, and still do feel, that the Mormon religion is the most complete and accurate religion according to all that I have studied and learned. It encompasses all the other religions and brings to light truths that have been lost for thousands of years. It is my belief that this is the true church of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

When I was in my early 20's I served as a a missionary for my church in Portland, Oregon. I have since served in several callings for my church. In all the callings that I served in it allowed me to be able to help others. There is a scripture in the Book of Mormon that states, "When ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are in the service of your God." I have found great joy in my life by serving others and helping my fellow brothers and sisters in God. I feel I live my faith by setting a good example in all the serving, coaching and teaching I do for the youth of our community.
