Hi I'm Jason

I grew up in Idaho I served in the Army as a medic for 7 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Idaho, there i earned my Eagle Scout award, I served a mission for the church in Minnesota and Wisconsin. I am married and have 4 children. I was in the military for 7 years, and I now go to school. I am involved with the Boy Scouts, helping the youth learn life skills is very important to me. I love to camp, fish, and mountain bike, so i enjoy sharing these activities with the boys in my troop. I also enjoy spending time with my family they are very important to me and I love to watch my children develop and and learn positive habits.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member not only cause I was born into the church. But because its a positive life style, it promotes family togetherness. There is so much in the world today taking away from the families and making it the center of your lives. Its very uplifting to know that Heavenly Father wants us to be with our families not only in this life but forever. Being a missionary for the church and being a member i have seen how the gospel changes peoples lives for the better and brings them closer not only to Christ, but to their families.

How I live my faith

I am the Scoutmaster for my ward/ congregation. In that calling I help the young men in scouting, which is developing positive attributes and life skills that will help them for the rest of their lives. This includes a weekly meeting and monthly campouts, service projects and sometimes a fun activity on the weekends. Its very rewarding to see these young men grow and develop into leaders. Also I visit certain families I am assigned by the church once a month to check and see how they are doing, which is called hometeaching. In this way we can see the needs of members in our ward, and get to know one another better.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No we we help everyone that we can. As a youth leader we serve our community doing service projects that not only help church members but helps everyone else out in the community. Show more Show less
