Hi I'm Aaron

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My 5 kids call me dad. I create software used by millions of people. I love the camping and hiking in the outdoors. I recently graduated with an MBA. I play basketball and golf in my spare time.

Why I am a Mormon

In high school, I went through a tough time during my senior year. I found strength through studying and then putting into practice the mormon religion. I found real fortitude in doing what I learned. It was a gift that has helped me through many tough patches. The key for me was coming to an understanding that while I have earthly parents who love me, I have an Eternal Father who loves me more than I can fathom. Coming to realize what that means has made all the difference. Upon that bedrock, I came to know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. After that I recognized that I needed to find out if we have living prophets, which I did. Amazing does not do justice to how I feel about the knowledge that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father and family. It is true.

How I live my faith

Currently I administrate the sunday school programs for the Stake (a stake is the geographic organization of several wards and branches. A ward or branch is a smaller geographic location comprising of members of the church) In this capacity, I train the leaders who then train and instruct their teachers. I am active in the Boy Scouts of America. I currently serve on Wood Badge Staffs (again training leaders to teach other leaders and boys their duty). I also chair a committee to raise Friends of Scouting (FOS) funds in the community. Most importantly, I am my kid's dad. I try to spend time with them each week individually as well as a family. Given our schedules it can be difficult and when it comes together, worthwhile.
