Hi I'm Steve

I joined the church when I was 48 and married my current wife. I truly value the fellowship I experience. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Together we have 9 kids - (me 2 - my wife 7) and 11 beautiful grandchildren. I work for a large national insurance company and in my off time I like to golf (I'm not a"golfer"), travel and going to movies with my "best girl." We also enjoy our times with our kids and have rather large family get togethers as you can well imagine. We're almost "empty nesters" as our last son will be leaving on a mission very soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I lived in Utah for about 6 years from when I was 9 to 15 and had many Mormon childhood friends. I still remember to this day watching some close family friends struggling financially and I was so impressed with how the church showed up everyday with groceries to help them in their time of need. What a lasting impression. When I met my wife, who was raised in the church, I simply "knew" that joining the church and getting sealed in the Temple was the right thing to do. I have never regretted that decision.

How I live my faith

I very much enjoy going to church on Sunday. Every week I get a "nugget" of inspiration, enlightenment or maybe just clarity on a question I've been pondering. It's wonderful seeing the other members of our ward and catching up or just visiting about what's been going on. In our meetings we get the chance to share our thoughts and have some very relevant and interesting conversations about the bible and the Book of Mormon. It's just very good spiritual "food."
