Hi I'm Elise

I am an elementary school teacher. I love to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just began my sixth year of teaching elementary school kids. I love what I do because I know I'm making a difference one day at a time. I come from a big family - eight siblings! I enjoy traveling and have a goal to one day visit every continent. I like reading, music, dancing, being outdoors, and making new friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to a wonderful Mormon family where my parents and each of my siblings follow the gospel of Jesus Christ. This has been a tremendous blessing in my life. It has helped me to make wise choices that lead me to peace and happiness. I love being a Mormon because I have a sure sense of who I am - a daughter of God with divine origin and divine potential. I choose to continue on the gospel path because I know it is the only way I can live with Heavenly Father, the Savior Jesus Christ, and my family forever. It's not always easy, but there's nothing I want more. I know God intends for each of us to be truly happy, and His perfect plan provides the way.

How I live my faith

As a Mormon, I am able to participate in various service activities in the community. I love the feeling I receive after helping others. This allows me to become closer to people and also to the Savior because I learn to act as He did. I am also able to live my beliefs by teaching a Sunday School class each week during our Sunday meetings. I love studying the scriptures and teaching the class members how we can become better, how we can prepare to live with God again someday.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Elise
We love to learn about who we are and what the purpose of life is. This is why we spend much of our time attending church meetings and the temple, studying the scriptures, serving others, and praying. We understand the importance of being obedient to God's laws in order that He may bless us in our lives. We love to spend time with our families because we want to strengthen our relationships and teach one another. Along with the religious part of our lives, Mormons seek to enjoy life in the same way as those of other faiths. For example, we make time to participate in wholesome activities such as sports, music, and art. Show more Show less
