Hi I'm Dana

I was born and raised in Texas. I'm a wife, a mother and a piano teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom to a beautiful baby girl that keeps me on my toes! We love to spend time with friends, go to the pool and go walking or running outside. I also enjoy reading, scrapbooking, travelling and attempting to create the yummy meals I see on my favorite cooking shows. I recently began teaching piano to several young people and I find so much joy in music and teaching. As a Texan and the wife of a football coach, I naturally spend a lot of time cheering for our favorite football teams. I find joy in the little things in life and have a passion for building and strengthening relationships with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents both joined the church when they were in college, so I was raised a Mormon. My testimony has grown gradually and consistently throughout my life as I have learned the principles of the gospel and have seen the great examples of righteousness in my parents, siblings and friends. I find great comfort and happiness in the knowledge that I am a daughter of God, that I have a purpose here on the earth and that if I follow the example of my Savior, Jesus Christ, I can someday return to live with Him and with my family forever. I love to read the scriptures and the words of the living prophets. I have found answers to my prayers and direction for my life through these sources many times. I know that this church is true because I have felt the joy that comes through living its teachings.

How I live my faith

At church, I am the secretary for the women's organization in our ward. This gives me the opportunity to get to know the women on a personal level and keep them informed on the activities and service opportunities available for them. I have built stong friendships with the women as we have served together and enjoyed fun activities together! In my family, we live our faith by praying together daily, having Family Home Evening once a week together and by helping each other to become more like our Savior each day.
