Hi I'm Cindy

I am a single mother with five wonderful children ages 10 to 21. I work as a medical transcriptionist and I am Mormon!

About Me

Hi! I love being a mom! When I have time, I love to spend time with family and friends, read, crochet, and cook/bake. I grew up on a farm and love being outdoors riding bikes, going for walks, and gardening. I have been working in the medical field for 26 years, first as a medical assistant and now as a medical transcriptionist. I miss working in the office working with people, but I love the fact that I can work from home and be available for my children. I love to learn and like to learn new things, do-it-yourself projects, etc. I have a deep desire in my heart to help other people and try to serve someone everyday!

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 23 years old I worked in a medical clinic and a co-worker who became a treasured friend, invited me to a Young Adult Conference. After attending a Fast and Testimony meeting, I felt the spirit and wanted to know more. I attended church and was introduced to the missionaries. After 3 months of meeting with the missionaries, I accepted the invitation to be baptized. When I prayed to know for myself if the church was true, I felt the spirit and a deep burning within my heart that the church was true. I have been a member for 27 years! I am so thankful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. Studying the Book of Mormon, have become my greatest pleasure. Studying and gaining greater knowledge of its teachings has changed me dramatically and as I study, I feel the Spirit speak to me of its truthfulness. I am so grateful to Heavenly Father for the restoration of His Church, for the Prophet Joseph Smith for his faith and diligence. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a living prophet and receives revelation for His church and the world. My greatest love and gratitude are for the Savior and the gift of having His Spirit to continually guide and direct me. His love is amazing! How happy being a member of His Church makes me.

How I live my faith

I love serving and just served as Activity Days leader for girls ages 8 to 11. How I love those girls! I am looking forward to a new calling whatever that may be! I have a testimony of visiting teaching and I know how important it is for us to be the feet and hands of the Savior to take care of His sisters. I strive each day to live that I may be blessed to have the Holy Spirit to guide and direct me to our Heavenly Father's will for me. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us unconditionally. I know that prayers are answered in the Lords own time and will. Strength and struggles go together and all things we experience are for our good, our education, and experience to lead us back to our Heavenly Home.

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?
