Hi I'm Morgan.

I grew up mostly in Arizona. I just graduated from high school and started going to college. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently moved away from home to go to college. I live in off campus housing in an all girl apartment complex. My older sister is my roommate and we have 2 other girls living in our apartment in the 2nd bedroom. It has been fun being on my own but there are definitely some challenges with having no parents around. Cooking for myself, buying groceries and paying bills are just a few of the challenges. I also have to learn how to live with people other than my family and most importantly I have to be strong in living according to what I know is right even though my parents aren't here to give me a curfew and check up on who I am friends with.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. From a young age I was told of Joseph Smith and the first vision, I was taught to follow the words of the modern day prophets. I always had a feeling the church was the true church of God but when I actually knew for myself the first time I was 12 years old. I went to girls camp for the first time and I had been praying for something. I didn't know what I was looking for exactly, but I knew I wanted the truth to be witnessed unto me by the Spirit. That was the first time I diligently searched for an answer from Heavenly Father. The last night of girls camp I was overcome by a feeling of warmth and peace. I knew I was where I was supposed to be. I could feel my Savior's love for me and I wanted to always live righteously to keep that feeling of the Spirit witnessing unto me the love and understanding of our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

As a college student I have recently started attending the Singles Ward. It is so exciting to go to church and see people my age. I know many of them are away from home for the first time and experiencing the same challenges. Since many of the young single adults in the area are away from home we are able to have family home evening with groups of friends to help each other grow in the gospel and to build friendships.
