Hi I'm Alejandra

I'm a Latina - I'm a singer, dancer, photographer... And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a Latina or Mexican-American woman, born in Mexico and raised in the USA since I was 3 years old. Being the youngest of 5 girls and a minority, I grew up with a very interesting and dynamic culture. I have always held myself to a higher standard and strived to find my place in my large family, as well as my place in the world and society; At the young age of 6 yrs old, I found that through music. I started to share my love for music singing with a Mariachi group and performing native Mexican Folkloric dances. Later in life I had the opportunity to continue sharing my talent and love for music by perfoming as the lead singer of a Latin Group. I love to sing and dance latin music, I love photography, and everything creative and artistic! Most recently I began to explore art through baking and decorating creative cakes! I love to serve and help people whenever and wherever I can. Recently, I have decided to return to school and get a degree in Nursing and fulfill my desire to help others. Sharing myself through my musical talents and my desire to serve others brings happiness to my life. I'm a Latina - I'm a singer, dancer, photographer, baker... And I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were visited by missionaries of the Church and became members before I was born while they were still living in Mexico. I grew up as a member of the Church and have seen blessings in my life and have felt the joy of the Golspel since birth. Because of the important lessons I learned throughout my life, I was able to lead a clean and healthy life and know my purpose in the world. Growing up in a challenging neighborhood in a big city, I was surrounded by difficult situations on a daily basis, but through my faith in Jesus Christ and the lessons learned thoughout my life as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I was able to make decisions in my life to help me fight the temptations most young people face today. I am grateful to my parents for accepting the Gospel and teaching me to follow Christ and be the best example I can be to those around me and setting a standard for my future family. I believe in Jesus Christ and I know that this is His true church restored in these latter days. My hope is to continue to live by the standards taught to me as a child and help my children lead a clean and happy life for themselves and be good examples to those around them through following in the footsteps and example of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

As a members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we strive to give service to each other within the church, as well as outside of our faith and in our communities. I have been given many opportunities to help and serve others by participating in community service projects such as Habitat for Humanity, building homes for needy and less fortunate families within our community. I have also had the joy of serving as a missionary and representative of Jesus Christ and sharing the joy of His Gospel by serving a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Canada among the Spanish Speaking community. While serving in Canada, I had the chance to meet people of many nations and cultures and share the message of the joy of this Gospel as well as help in many community centers teaching English. Now that I am no longer serving as a missionary, I continue my mission of service in the Church and community whenever and howerver I am able to. I feel happiness and joy in my heart knowing I am serving others and following the example of Jesus Christ.
