Hi I'm Brant

I love Idaho, the outdoors, fly fishing, serving others, spending time with my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an outdoor enthusiast that would find it difficult to move away from all I have in Idaho. I enjoy hiking, backpacking, fly fishing and recognizing the beauty that has been created for us. My family is the most important thing to me in this life next to the Gospel. I love spending time with them, engaging in activities that build memories and growing closer together by living life. I enjoy a wide range of sports but ice hockey is my favorite. Besides playing hockey I love growing the game in our local community. When I am not spending time serving others, being a dad or enjoying the outdoors you can find me in front of a computer building web applications for small to medium sized businesses. I love technology, how it is always changing and the opportunity it provides me to always be learning.

Why I am a Mormon

My father is a convert to the church. After joining the church he and my mother were eventually married in the temple. They both focused on raising their children with an eternal focus. This strong desire to be together forever helped me to gain a testimony of the importance of having an eternal family. By growing up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I was able to learn how I could someday have a family that the bonds could last forever. I wanted to share this with others so I went on a mission. Before serving a mission for two years I felt it was important to know for myself if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was truly God’s resorted church on the earth today. I read the Book of Mormon all the way through for the first time in my life and prayed to find out if it was true. I received answer to my prayers and have relied on this answer throughout my life to strengthen testimony and overcome trials. I am grateful to have been born into a wonderful household that focused on eternal families. I am grateful to now have my own family, the gospel of Jesus Christ and the opportunity to work and progress in this life so I can one day spend eternity with my family.

How I live my faith

Having the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has helped me to develop a love for my fellow man. I try my hardest to serve others with the talents and abilities that God has blessed me with. Whether it is service in the community, my family or within the church I find great joy in helping others where I can.
