Hi I'm Richard

I was born and raised in Arizona. I'm a father, husband, and a student. I love to help and serve others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 7 years to my lovely wife. I have 2 children, my oldest is a girl, and my youngest is a boy. I have no brothers or sisters, but I was raised with one of my cousins, which almost makes us brother and sister. I am a struggling college student, which I am trying to finish my education and meet my family's needs. I enjoy reading books, which are mostly sci-fi, some action/adventure, and drama. I am interested in computers, sports, and being with friends and family. I work for a clinic research organiztion, where we conduct clinical trials to test medications for pharmaceutical companies before they can go to market.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has taught me so many things, such as being a good father and husband, as well as to help me pattern my life after the Savior. Since I was a young boy, I have been planning to serve a mission once I reached the age of eighteen. I was looking forward to that moment, and before long it had arrived, and yet had a difficult challenge which would test my faith. My father had been quite ill at the time, and his recovery from his illness was quite slim. My father had passed away. I was thus then faced with the decision wether to go on my mission as planned, or stay to look after my mother. It was a very difficult time for me. I was almost convinced that I would stay, until I came upon a verse in the scriptures that stated all will be well with loved ones, and that they would be looked after. I went on my mission, and enjoyed every moment as I shared with them a special message of love and eternal truths. Two years went by quickly, and before I knew it, I was home. Indeed the Lord kept His promise, my mom was taken care of. I testify of the truthfullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith was called of God, and as an instrument of Jesus Christ, he had restored the Church of Jesus Christ. Prophets are called today, and they are the Lord's servants, who receive revelation on how to guide HIs church. The Book of Mormon is the word of God, and another testament of Jesus Christ. A companion to the Bible. I bear testimony of eternal families, and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. "For God so loved the world, that He sent His son ... " I leave my testimony unto you my friends, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

My calling involves working with the elderly, as well as the widows in my ward. I love to help and serve, and what a great blessing it is to be able to help those in need. I am also involved with planning activities within our organization of the church. I am also blessed with the responsibility of several families, in which I and my companion visit every month, and to help them with their eternal progression. I have the privilege to teach the lesson within our church organization.
