Hi I'm Stephen

I'm from Denver Colorado. I'm a brother a, brother, a longboarder and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Well I grew up with one brother one sister. I've traveled all over the world which has turned me into and adventurer! my favorite thing in the entire world is meeting new people, going new places, and trying new things. I love pretending to be a chef, playing disc-golf, barbecuing, mountain biking, longboarding and doing anything that gives me a new perspective in life. The people I love the most are my family and friends. If I've ever spent time with you chances are you're already my friend or family!

Why I am a Mormon

The reason that I follow this gospel and have faith is really owed to the relationship it's given me with my Heavenly Father. I pray allot that I can change each day to be a little more like him. I know the Book of Mormon really is true, because I have read it and studied it along with the bible and as I do I feel piece. I have personal experiences from living the teachings of the gospel every day, and I've seen the power it has to change hearts and to brighten peoples lives. I know that this church is true. God continues to answer my prayers every day. That's why I'm a Mormon

How I live my faith

The best way to live my faith is by treating every one i meat like a brother or sister. In addition to this I go to church every week read the Bible and Book of Mormon every day. I try to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ as best I can.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Stephen
I would say a testimony is something that you know. Like knowing that there is a God. Although we don't see him and there isn't really proof that the world may recognize as evidence of a God or Father in Heaven. We have personal and special expiriances in life that are proof to us, that something is true. Usually something you can't see with your eyes. A testimony comes through feelings, miracles in your life, and expiriances. They are personal to each of us and even though someone else may not understand them the way we do, it's just His way of telling us that he is there. They are almost like a scrap book of experiences that remind us of all the things Heavenly Father has taught us. A testimony can be about anything spiritual. Like maybe you have wondered if Heavenly Father is there, and you prayed and asked and then you experience a calmness or feeling of happiness. at times there may be a voice that whispers to you and as you listen to it it will lead you. I have a testimony that God Lives. The way I learned that he is real is through prayer I talked to Him and he answered. I know the Book of Mormon is true, I lived what it taught me and I saw the blessings. I know that God has a plan for us. I have asked what to do, and I have been directed. To have a testimony you'll have to have your own experiences. Pray and listen, or maybe study the Book of Mormon and ask if it's true. Wait for the answer. Show more Show less
