Hi I'm Danielle

I'm a Mormon. Grew up in Southern Arizona around the Phoenix Valley. Come from a family of 10.

About Me

Hobbies include: sports, hiking, being outdoors, reading on occasion (especially fantasy books), going for walks, running, learning to play the piano, watching movies, and occasionally artwork. I'm a student in college about ready to graduate and become a teacher of Physical Education, currently in my student teaching phase and learning the ways of the real world. Throughout my life-time I've enjoyed doing many things including; hiking of the Grand Canyon, visiting Mount. Rushmore, walking through Yosemiti National Park, visiting of Devil's Tower, and taking a once-in-a-lifetime-trip to Fiji. I've always strived to work hard and earn high marks in school. My high school athletics included soccer, basketball, track, and rugby. Some of my most enjoyed courses were sewing, sports medicine, and art. Some day I wish to go sky diving with my younger brother, and learn to play the piano well enough to play at a senior living home. My favorite pass times are climbing trees, and spending time with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS religion. My parents both being deep rooted in the religion. AS such, growing up in the religion created a very comfortable, wholesome, family centered environment which always stuck with me as a positive thing, throughout my years of childhood. It was a setting where I felt free to pursue involvement in the community and activities to challenge myself. Growing up a member of the LDS church meant a lot of involvement within the church as well as study of the religion itself. By the age of 12, I had been encouraged to read both the Bible and Book of Mormon to study out the two and find the teachings of Christ within them. Now, being a young adult I have read to both a few more times and find principles that the Savior taught to exist in both. I recently went on a mission and in doing so have met several other faithful religious individuals as well who share my beliefs in Christ and his gospel. His teachings are found in many religions and I've found it a great privelidge to be in a church today established the same as it was set up when Christ established it with apostles and people trying to follow his example.

How I live my faith

I guess that first starts with striving to love my neighbor. Then moves on to using my talents and services to do Christ's work and better my community. My involvement specifically in the church throughout my years has included: teaching of the 5 year old children in sunday school, leading in the teenage girls youth group, organizing church social activities, helping to organize service events, playing the piano to accompany samll congregations with the hymns, and being a part of the womans organization called Relief Society. Being a leigh ministry church it is not uncommon to have a high percentage of involvement from the congregation in all the areas of the religion.
