Hi I'm Ben

I'm a father, husband, entrepreneur, & sports enthusiast: I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married for five years. We have a cute little girl and another girl on the way. I love my family and enjoy being with them. We like watching and playing tennis together, going to the beach, watching movies, and hanging out together. My family is my favorite hobby for sure. I also enjoy sports and the outdoors. I played tennis at Utah State University and was the assistant coach for a couple of years while I finished my Masters degree. I just got into road biking, and I'm going to attempt my first triathlon in a couple of months. I also love snowboarding, mountain biking, surfing, golf, and pretty much all other sports. For work, my partner and I develop and operate assisted living centers for seniors. I enjoy it as I have the opportunity to try and make a difference in senior’s lives and give them the best living experience during the later stages of life. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resource Management, and then got an MBA from USU. I also started a small tennis company, www.racquetarmor.com, which I enjoy as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I live Jesus Christ. The church has brought me closer to him and my life is happier because of it. By living Christ’s teachings, I've found peace, comfort, & direction. I love the opportunity being a Mormon gives me to meet other people and serve. Currently, I'm a Priest's Advisor in the church. So, I have the opportunity to work with 16 to 18 year-old young men. We plan and take adventurous scouting trips, including camping, climbing, boating, shooting, sports etc. I am so grateful to be a Mormon: In fact, I dedicated two years of my life to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ because I know it's true and love it so much: It provides happiness, peace, and direction in this crazy world. I’m thankful for my Savior and his church. I know the church will provide answers to life’s questions, and I encourage anyone who reads this to contact the church and it's missionaries to learn more, as I know you, like me, will be blessed beyond measure. Being a Mormon means more to me now than ever before because of my family. The world can be a dangerious and confusing place, and I worry bout my children growing up in it. But, the Christ has given me, and all of us, his church to help in raising children. I know the his church provides all that is needed to help me help protect and teach my children so that we can be together forever. I'm so grateful for my family and the blessings being a member of the church brings to my family and all others who seek it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through working to keep the commandments and serving. The church has given me many opportunities to serve and learn. Recently, I was able to volunteer at the Special Olympics with our young men's group. We helped with the opening ceremonies, and the experience was amazing. The feeling that the young men and I had, while helping with the special-needs athletes, was nothing short of heavenly. Living my faith has giving me countless opportunities to serve in communities. I feel the spirit of God through all the opportunities being a Mormon has given me to live my faith.
