Hi I'm Tracy

I make maps for the US government. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary, and my 25th year working for the United States Geological Survey. I have been an insulin dependent diabetic for 28 years, and have experienced issues with diabetic retinopathy. I am considering going back to school to prepare myself for a second career. Also, I recently became a grandfather.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Morman faith by a loving single mother. She had converted to Mormanism in Montana when she was a teenage girl, and had extreme faith in its truthfulness. I had grown up with a great love for my Savior, Jesus Christ, and was happily baptised when I was eight years old. I continued in prayer and scripture study throughout my teenage years. When I was 18, I faced the many questions that teens often do regarding the truth of one's faith from many non-member friends and work colleagues. I studied and prayed, and received a very strong and personal witness that the Mormon faith is God's restored gospel.

How I live my faith

In today's hectic world, it is easy to be consumed with 'self'. I find that keeping the Sabbath Day holy is a great opportunity to turn attention toward God. That inturn reflects itself in turning attention to serving others. I serve in multiple youth outreach organizations, both in the church and out. Youth in any country face many struggles and need the support of established members of the community to enrich their lives and provide guidance.
