Hi I'm Heidi.

I was born in Germany and have lived in several countries around the world. I teach high school math classes online. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I teach high school math classes online. My husband and I recently gave birth to our first child, a baby girl. I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Mathematics from the University of Utah. My father was in the military and I have lived in several places around the globe. Even after I graduated high school, I moved to Hawaii and lived in Albania.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are Mormons and I was raised with the standards and principles of the church. Although I was taught what it means to be a Mormon from a very young age, it hasn't always been easy. Life is full of challenges and obstacles for people of all faiths. As I've searched my life for the things that bring me the most hapiness and true joy, I always turn back to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know in my heart that this is where my Savior and Heavenly Father want me to be and I try to live the best life that I know how. Being a mormon truly makes me happy. I know that the principles of the gospel are true. I would be lying to myself if I tried to say that there are other things that have brought me more joy and peace than being a member of this church. Not just being a member, but living the gospel every single day and knowing that my Savior loves me.

How I live my faith

The Mormon church isn't run by a paid clergy and is run by the local members of the church. We often are asked to serve in different capacities to help others learn the gospel. I think this is an excelent way to create unity and support in our local church "family". My current "job" in the church is to teach others how to be a better teacher. The people in my class are the teachers of youth and adults who have been asked to teach the scriptures and gospel principles to the members of our local church family. Not everyone who is asked to teach in the church comes from an educational background so we have to learn the basic techniques to teach the gospel in a way that others can learn the best. I help them learn how to do that. I have also been asked to have a special relationship with about 4 other women in our church family. It gives me the opportunity to offer my help and support to these women if they should need a little extra strength. Sometimes we do activities together, but the most enjoyable activity we do is get together and talk about our lives, our families and the gospel.
