Hi I'm Heather

I'm not quite a super hero, but my 4 kids and husband think I am. I love them for it. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a lucky wife and mother of four awesome young children. I spend most of my day caring for my family, it's definitely one of the toughest - yet most rewarding gigs I've ever had. Right now my husband is working on a demanding doctorate degree in Music Conducting, so our family is sacrificing a bit, and doing all we can to support him in his schooling. I enjoy connecting with people, reading (when I find the time), traveling, exercising, and spending time with my family. I like to stay up late, and sleep in. I love cookies and Mexican food. I love to see my husband create music, and I love watching people grow.

Why I am a Mormon

I have prayed many times to know that this church is true, and it always feels so right. I feel good reading the Book of Mormon, I feel good about Joseph Smith, and I love what I have learned about Jesus Christ. My belief in this church hinges on those three things. It is all correct and true. I feel it in my heart and mind.

How I live my faith

On my way home from picking up my kids from school this week, I was the first one to notice that a home in our neighborhood was on fire. I flagged down a driver with a cell phone to call 911, then ran to the two homes and rang, pounded, then barged through their doors shouting "YOUR HOUSE IS ON FIRE!" I didn't really know many people in our neighborhood, but now, I love being known in our little area as the "Mormon Lady with all those kids, who saved the day." In the larger scheme of things, I want to do more than just save the day, I want to help others be saved forever, by knowing what I know about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I want to be an example of a believer and a doer. I want to live my faith in such a way that people know I am willing to help, serve, lift others, and love the way that Christ does. I want to be known as a Mormon.
