Hi I'm Susan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful husband and I am a mother of three great kids ages 5, 3, and 1. I enjoy cooking, reading, playing volleyball, dancing, and being with my family. I love playing games, watching movies, and love to celebrate and decorate my house for all the different holidays. I am a stay at home mom and very thankful that I am able to be at home with my kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon in a family of 7 kids. My parents were great examples and teachers to me. When I was a kid, I felt good whenever I went to church. The things that were taught there and at my house just gave me a peaceful feeling and I always knew the things I was learning were truths being shared with me from God. I am happy because I know who I am, a daughter of God, and what my purpose is here on earth. I grew up in the Gospel in Roanoke, VA. There were not a lot of members of the church there so it was difficult to hear the comments from people about being a Mormon, but it also made me want to be different and stand up for my values. I am eternally grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and giving us the greatest gift, the Atonement. I know that nobody is perfect and when we do make mistakes, we can repent and be forgiven. Now I have a family of my own and I am raising them in the Gospel too. I want to help teach them the true Gospel of Jesus Christ, so they may know who they are, know God, and Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for youth programs that are organized in the church and all of the leaders that interact with the youth every week.

How I live my faith

I help with the Bear Cub Scout troop and have been an assistant leader for a little over a year. I try to help out in any way I can whether it is bringing dinner to someone who just had a baby, visiting other women from the church whenever I can, or just coming and participating in planned activities.
