About Me

Hi, my name is mason. I love to do things outside! I love to go hiking, swimming, and camping in the great out doors. I'd probably go crazy if i was stuck inside for the rest of my life. I love to play soccer, been playing that since i was about 6 years old, and haven't stopped since. I love music, i played the trombone for 6 years. Playing in both concert and jazz band. I also love to play video games. I'm a fan of classic games such as mario, metroid, and legend of zelda. I am a high school graduate, and don't have much direction in life. I don't know what i want to do in life, but that's half the avdenture.

Why I am a Mormon

Well i was born a "Mormon" and I have always been one who attended church because my parents expected it of me, but that was it. I lacked a real, personal relationship with god. There were times where i felt close, but that was it. It wasn't till i really read from the book of Mormon that i truly did know what i was doing was right. It was a feeling deep in my heart that felt familiar. It felt that i knew it was right. That feeling taught me that all that i learned in church was true, and that i'm where god wanted me to be. Though life doesn't get easier once you find truth, i now know for a fact where i can turn to for help. I know i can turn to Jesus Christ, and he will always be there for me. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing just that, practice what i preach. I try to just love, what better way to be a christian? I sincerely try to love all people that i meet, and see them as children of god. I try to live a life of service, serving others in whatever way's i can. Nothing gives me more joy than to help those who need help. I also live my faith by serving a volunteer mission. I have the chance here to give others the chance to learn of what i treasure and find to bring me closer to god.

In whom should we have faith?

Jesus christ is who we need to have faith in. He is the savior of the world. No one can get back to heaven unless it is through him. We need to have faith that he is might to save. When we have faith in jesus christ we are able ask for, and recieve, forgiveness. Through is atonement we are able to be cleansed from sin. Show more Show less

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

The scriptures are here for us to come closer to our father in heaven. Scriptures are sometimes hard to understand, I'm one of those people who look back and ask well what did i just read? But it takes time and effort and we will learn and understand. As we take the time and effort to study the scriptures we really show by our actions that we love god, and we want to know him. That has been the reason why i keep going back to the scriptures. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Well the simple answer is because God said so. Think about these things, do you really "need" them? Did God give you your body so you could be subject to these substances. God loves us and want's us to be free to make our choice. He gave us the ability to choose. These things can take that away from us. All the time i hear "i need a smoke" or "i need my coffee" and it makes me sad because i don't need anything. I'm free just like god intended me to be. I know that we think i'm strong enough, i can handle it. Or it won't hurt anybody. My aunt is a quadriplegic, meaning she is paralyzed from the neck down, because of a drunk driver. He probably thought the same thing. I know that God has given us the word of wisdom for our blessing, and a blessing of health is promised to all who will live it. Show more Show less
