Hi I'm Dave

I have lived all over the U.S. My father was an Air Force officer. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to meet new people and make new friends. I have enjoyed a career in technology consulting that has included clients across the United States. As a father of 4 and grandfather of 2, I love doing things with my family - tennis, jetskiing, camping and just being together. Individual hobbies include distance swimming, scuba diving...and basically anything to do with pools, lakes and oceans! In recent years, I have enjoyed connecting with the past and love reading about U.S. and World History. I have concern for my future and am actively looking for ways to be more self reliant, reducing debt and planning for my future finances. I enjoy understanding what others are doing to prepare for their futures.

Why I am a Mormon

My father was a convert to the church and my mother came from LDS pioneer heritage. As such, I enjoyed growing up in a family where my extended family came from different faiths. This experience helped me learn and love people of all beliefs. I find there is good in everyone! I choose to be a Mormon because it helps me be a better person, individually. I am taught and reminded how I need to be Christlike, "be" the miracle in others' lives, embrace your standards, be accountable, find joy in life's path. As I am weak, and a human, I rely on Jesus Christ's atonement to give me strength and help guide me through life's trials. I know that my Heavenly Father lives, and that Jesus Christ, our Savior, atoned for our sins. I am thankful to be able to partake of the Lord's sacrament each week where I can reflect on my past decisions and recommit to live better and be better. I am grateful for the blessings of having a wonderful family and friends. I thank the Lord for the beauty of the mountains, lakes, plains and the sound of the ocean, for I love them all.

How I live my faith

Most of my life in the Church has been spend working with the youth and sharing the Gospel with others. I have served as the Young Men's President in 4 different Wards (congregations) in Ft Collins CO, Washington DC, Kansas City, and in Highlands Ranch, CO. I had the opportunity to serve as a Scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts of America and enjoyed watching my 3 sons attain the rank of Eagle Scout. As a member missionary, I have had the opportunity to teach the Gospel to those who are investigating the church, and to those who are new members. I enjoy helping individuals bridge from previous habits and believes to a better understanding of what it means to be a Mormon.
