Hi I'm Jerry

I grew up in the Bay Area and currently live in Arizona and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attended college at Shasta College in Redding, CA and Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA. I met my wonderful wife at a Young Adult Dance. We have three exceptional children. I have worked in the construction industry for over 30 years as an electrical estimator. I currently am a Senior Estimator for an electrical contractor in Gilbert, AZ. I love playing softball and volleyball and spending time with my family going on vacations and doing fun things.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was 10 years old, mainly because my mother joined the church. As I have gained my own personal testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I have learned that by being obedient to His commandments I have a better sense of peace and comfort in my life. I know that He answers my prayers. I can't count how many times I have needed something and He as answered quickly to help me in my time of need. I have learned that as I live as my Savior lived, I can experience more happiness and joy in this life than I can possibly imagine. I have learned that it isn't about me, but about what I can do for others that brings some of my most happy memories. What I hold dear to the most is that our Heavenly Father wants us to be in families and that families can be eternal.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith every day. Reading the words of God, praying, being kind to those around me, offering service where needed. Part of following my Savior is to help those who are in need, whether it be physically, emotionally or spiritually. I do that by visiting members of our ward every month to see how they are doing and what I can do to help them. I do this also for my immediate family, extended family and non-members friends.
