Hi I'm Shane

I'm from Massachussettes and now live in Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married with 2 boys. I did graduate high school but it was only because I went back after dropping out. I have since taken a few collage classes. I enjoy spending time with my family. I think the thing my wife and I enjoy the most is watching our boys play soccer. The boy and I also enjoy playing video games together(even though they beat me consistently).

Why I am a Mormon

I had a difficult life growing up. My mom was married multiple times, I constantly found myself getting in trouble. I had been baptized twice as protestant and as a catholic. My family was never very active in either. At some point in my early teenage years, I had stopped believing in god. I felt he was not answering my prayers. A few years ago I was in a serious motorcycle accident and I somehow walked away from it. The only reason I even lived is because my son insisted I put my helmet on. This is where my testimony begins and where I started to believe in god again. I had already been taking the missionary lessons and I continued to take them for a total of 5 years. It took me awhile but the more I prayed and the more I attended the church the more I felt the spirit in my life. As I continued to take the lessons I began to reflect on my childhood and some of the struggles I went through. As I reflected I began to remember people him my life who helped me through these struggles. I began to realize that god was answering my prayers all along I just didn't notice until I began to look with true intent. After 5 years of the missionary lessons I had received such a strong testimony of the church that I couldn't deny it anymore and I informed the missionaries that I was ready to convert. Since my conversion I have felt and incredible happiness and I have been told by quite a few of my friends and neighbors that I look happier. I testify the church is true, and you will truly find true happiness in having faith in the lord.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by looking for opportunities to provide service to other people. When I provide service I am not only helping someone I also get the opportunity to spend time with my son as he enjoys providing service. By doing home teaching and teaching the gospel I am able to find more opportunities to provide service. I also participate in the cub scouts and the boy scouts.
