Hi I'm Dan

I am a cyclist, a motorcyclist, and a father of two. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors and love sharing the outdoors with my family. I am an avid mountain biker and motorcyclist and love being on two wheels. We ride bikes, hike and drive all over this beautiful part of the world that we call home. I have been married to my wife for almost five years. We have two beautiful daughters and plan on having more kids. My family is the most important thing in my life and I am grateful that I have so blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was active in the church but a lifetime of experiences has given me a strong testimony that this church is true. I have asked God if the Book of Mormon is his word and I have received an answer that it is. Every time i have asked the Lord for guidance on religious matters i have received and answer and that answer has always led me to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know it is true and that is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

The most important thing I can do to live my faith is inside the walls of my home. I strive to be a good father and husband. The most important thing I can ever do is teach my children how to build a relationship with the Lord. In church I work with those who are investigating the church or who have recently joined. I love to help others develop their own relationship with God.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Throughout all of my experiences with God there has been one common thread. Heavenly Father wants us to be happy. And not just the temporary kind of happy we get when we do something fun, but the deep and real happiness we get when we are feeling his love. The same kind of happiness we get from meaningful moments with family. Every part of Heavenly Fathers plan is designed to enable us to have this kind of happiness for eternity. We come to earth to get bodies, learn to choose, develop godly attributes, build relationships, learn about pain, and gain experience. All of those things and many more are the architecture of God's plan of happiness. Heavenly Father is eternally happy and he wants the same for us. The pain and suffering that come in this life are only here to enable us to be happier in the next life. Show more Show less
