Hi I'm Cathy

I'm a Mormon. I am a Colorado girl. I am a wife and the mother of 6 children- 5 boys and 1 girl. I am a paralegal. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother. It's my favorite part of life. I like to spend time with my family- tubing at the lake, skiing, camping, horseback riding, playing games, laughing and talking around the dinner table, and being together. I also enjoy reading a book, trying new recipes, being with friends, and learning new skills. I have been a stay-at-home mom and just recently went back to work. It's an adjustment!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. I have had many friends who do not share my religious beliefs, which made me question why I believe what I do. I have studied the Savior's teachings by reading the scriptures, listened and prayed to know what the truth is and what Heavenly Father wants me to do. I know that this is the same organization of the church that Christ set up when he lived on the earth. We have prophets like they did before. I have a personal relationship with my Savior and He is my friend. He helps me get through the hard times in life. I feel the spirit on a regular basis and know that this is the true church on the earth today. This is where we can find true peace, joy, and happiness! It makes all the difference!

How I live my faith

I try each day to be better than the day before. My main focus is trying to get my family back to Heavenly Father. We want to live together forever and to share the joy the Gospel brings. I try to ask myself, "what would Jesus want me to do?" and then do it. I serve people each day in and out of my home- helping when asked or when I see a need, smiling, talking to them, delivering a meal, shoveling a driveway, or a kind word. I am blessed to work with the young women at church, teaching lessons on Sunday and planning activities for them during the week- and love it. They are such a great examples of virtuous, honest, hard working and happy youth. I try to live so that others will see the happiness I have and want to know where that comes from. It is the Gospel of Jesus Christ and gives me the direction I need in my daily life and I try to live it each day.
