Hi I'm Shelley

I'm a wife, a mother, a friend, a beach goer, a baseball fan and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am blessed to have a kind and supportive husband and I am blessed to be a mother to five beautiful children. Being a mother is one of my greatest joys. I have been blessed with 4 boys and 1 girl. I enjoy being together as a family, I love sharing my time with them and teaching them. I love reading books, visiting the library, bike riding with my family, taking walks, running as the sun comes up. I love the beach. I enjoy supporting my children as they participate in the things they enjoy (sports, music and school activities). I love to travel, and I enjoy learning about different places in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know without a doubt that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me. It is a beautiful plan and I have faith that if I am obedient and endure through challenges and trials that i will live with Him again someday. I am grateful for an inspired seminary teacher that challenged me to read the Book of Mormon and to pray sincerely if the words were true. I took that challenge when I was 17 years old. You have so many influences, good and bad when you are young and struggling to figure things out. That was a time when I needed to make better choices and surround myself with friends that would encourage me to do good things. I am continually thankful for that teacher and his inspiration. As I read and prayed of its truthfulness, I was given answers that I needed at that time. I knew that the words I had read were true. I am so thankful for this great gospel, for a kind and loving Heavenly Father that loves me. I know that He knows me individually and that He loves me unconditionally and that he will manifest that love to me as I keep His commandments. I know that Joseph Smith is a Prophet and that he restored the gospel to the earth. I am thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ, for His sacrifice for me. I am thankful for the simplicity of the gospel. It brings pure joy and happiness to my life. There is peace, comfort and hope that comes from knowing these truths.

How I live my faith

I am blessed to have a calling where I have the privilege to serve and help those around me. I am continually amazed at the acts of kindness and love that others share with one another. There is so much to do, there are so many that need to be strengthen, blessed and rescued. Charity never faileth. Serving and loving are what the gospel of Jesus Christ is all about.
