Hi I'm Ian

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Ian from Arizona. My wife and I are the parents of nine children. Originally from Washington state, I've also lived in Hawaii, Utah, Germany and Wyoming. Arizona is a great place to live and yes, I like the heat. I work and travel a fair amount because I own my own management consulting company but like it best when I'm at home or traveling with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the spirit of God has touched my soul and persuades me that Jesus is the Christ. He is the only begotten Son of God and is resurrected with a literal body of flesh and bone. He has conquered death and gives me hope that I too may one day be resurrected with a body of flesh and bone like He is. This is the only church I have come across that teaches of his literal resurrection and that He, like his father - even God the Father - has a body of flesh and bone. The Holy Ghost is a personage of spirit and bares witness of the Father and the Son. I have often felt the presence of the Holy Ghost often and know that he bares witness of Jesus as our Savior and Redeemer.

How I live my faith

My faith is at the center of everything I do - whether at home, work or play. I know I am accountable to God and will one day be held responsible for everything I do, say or think. This influences my priorities in life, how I treat other people and what I teach my children and grandchildren. In my local church congregation I teach a class to adults each Sunday about gospel principles. These are the same principles I have taught my children since the day they were born. They are the same principles I strive to follow each day. For me, there is no separation between what I teach on Sunday and how I attempt to live my life.
