Hi I'm Melissa

I'm a wife and mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a wife and a mother of young children, much of my life is devoted to taking care of our home and our family. I love to learn and observe the world around me and see how we all work together. I enjoy the creative side of planning parties and events. When the kids are older I have visions of hiking tall mountains and taking graphic design classes. For now, I'm content conquering mountains of laundry and designing a smooth family schedule.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it just feels right. Something within me recognizes the truth. I have studied and prayed and received a witness of the truthfulness of the gospel. My faith gives me hope and peace as I endure difficulties in my life. Most of all, I know that in this crazy, non-stop world, I'm important because I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is what gives me purpose in the choices I make each day for myself and my family. I am happy when my actions reflect my priorities. When I kneel to pray and read from the scriptures each day, I am blessed with more patience with my children and husband and a greater capacity to see others as children of our Heavenly Father. I am able to be the wife and mother I want to be. I'm a member of the world's largest women's service organization and help plan activities and gatherings for women in our area. This is what I spend a large portion of my free time doing. When we meet together I am amazed at the talents and abilities God created in all of us and how much good we can accomplish when we work together. I am so grateful for the renewed energy, genuine love, and sense of belonging I feel during our meetings.
