Hi I'm Sydette

I love to run and cycle. I enjoy cooking and reading. Most of all I love being a mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in a beautiful small town in the mountains of Arizona. I enjoy getting up early, while everything and everyone are still quiet, and starting my day with a great run or bike ride with friends through the beautiful pine trees. I have four great children who keep me hopping and laughing each day. It is fulfilling for me to see my children grow and develop as individuals. I love to cook (not bake!) and enjoy trying new recipes out on my family. One of my favorite activities is curling up with a good book on a snowy day, or any other day for that matter. I love life and feel so blessed each day!

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon. I have found great joy and happiness through my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -Day Saints. I know Heavenly Father loves me and wants me to be happy. Because of this he has sent his son, Jesus Christ, to set the perfect example and to perform the atonement. Just as in olden times we are blessed to have prophets on earth who help us know what we should do. I know Joseph Smith was one of these prophets. He saw God and Jesus Christ and he restored Christ's church to the earth. I know that by following Jesus Christ and keeping his commandments, I will be able to live with my family forever. This is one of the greatest blessings I can imagine.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be like Jesus Christ. I can do this each day by being kind, helping those in need or maybe just visiting someone who needs a friend. I find that I live my faith best when I am studying the scriptures daily and communicating with my Heavenly Father through daily prayer. These are the times when I feel his presence and I am able to live the way He would have me live. We are given different opportunities to serve in our church. Currently I get to help the 8-11 year old girls fulfill goals that will help them become better individuals and grow closer to Christ. I enjoy these different opportunities to serve and meet different people.
