Hi I'm Preslee and I like chocolate.

I served a mission in Finland (heaven on earth). I am in the military, love to bake, treasure my husband, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am active duty military and am married to a wonderful man and we are starting our family soon. I am a very active person, biking and walking to work and participating in triathlons from time to time. I love to sit and read in the library or at home. My most important goal is to one day raise a righteous, Christ-centered family with my husband. I have an optimistic outlook on life and know that everything that happens to me is an opportunity to grow and become a stronger, more empathetic friend to others. I am not defined by what I do; rather, I am who I am because of the experiences I have had and the choices I have made. I am so happy just to be alive and to have freedom.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ has brought me all the happiness in my life. Because of the gospel, I am sealed to my husband and family and can live with them forever, even after this life on earth. I continue to follow the gosepl of Christ because I know that it is true. I know our Heavenly Father restored His gospel through the prophet Joseph Smith and that we are led by a living prophet today, Russell M. Nelson. I know God is our loving Heavenly Father and we are His children. I know Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that through His Atonement, we can repent of our sins and feel clean. I know this is true because I read the Book of Mormon and then followed the promise in Moroni chapter 10. I knelt down and sincerely prayed and asked God if these things were true. My prayers were answered as I felt the Holy Spirit, powerful yet gentle and quiet, assure that these things are true. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that it will bring you happiness if you sincerely read it and pray with faith to know if it's true. Beacuse of this testimony, I have direction and purpose in my life, and I want to share the gospel with everyone. I don't know where I would be or who I would be without the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in my life. Because of my faith, I have hope. I don't have all the answers, but I know I can always ask and learn more, and I am so grateful that God speaks to His children today. He has not forgotten us!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being kind. I have a gift of a pleasant disposition and I am easily able to help build those around me so they feel better about themselves. I try to spread happiness by reaching out to strangers, smiling, and seeing how I can make their day just a tiny bit better. I serve in my ward, and sharing my musical talents is a fun way to meet new people and strengthen my own convictions about the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What is the Law of Chastity?

Preslee and I like chocolate.
To me, the Law of Chastity is a very important commandment. This commandment means that the Lord expects us to abstain from sexual relations before marriage and He expects full fidelity after marriage. I am not perfect but I have done my best to remain chaste outwardly and also chaste in my thoughts as well. Living the law of chastity has brought me increased confidence, peace of mind, and a greater happiness than any other lifestyle can achieve. I know that even if we have broken this law, it is never too late to become clean again and start to live a clean life. It is not always easy but in the end, I want to be able to stand upright before God, knowing I lived a chaste life and did not try to hide anything from Him. Show more Show less
