Hi I'm Kevin

I grew up in Seattle. I'm a dentist and love spending time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy all outdoor activities, especially golf in the summer and skiing in the winter. I enjoy my work as a dentist which allows me to help people improve their smiles and maintain a healthy life. Since becoming a father my greatest joys in life are spending time with my beautiful wife and children. I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS church, and like most who do, I relied on the testimony of my parents by simply believing what they taught me was true. But there always comes a time in everone's life when they have to ask themselves if it really is true. Growing up I had heard the promise at the end of the Book of Mormon a thousand times that if you want to know if the Book of Mormon is true (or anything for that matter) then read/study the book and then pray with a sincere heart and the Holy Ghost will tell you if it is or not (Moroni 10:3-5). Although I really thought it was true I never had my own sure testimony so when I was in Highschool I read the Book of Mormon and after finishing I took the prophet Moroni's challenge and prayed. I didn't have a miraculous manifestation, but I did have an overwhelming feeling of peace and happiness. These feelings of peace are described in the scriptures as the fruits of the spirit. I knew that those feelings came from Heavenly Father and I could not deny it. Since that time I have learned through study and application that all the principles of the gospel are true. I learned them line upon line and precept upon precept. I continue to learn in this way as I try to remain faithful and improve each day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to obey the teachings of Christ and following the counsel of our living prophet and apostles. As they set the example of serving others as Christ did, I try to do the same by accepting opportunities to serve in church callings and to simply love my neighbor as myself. As Jesus taught his apostles at the last supper to love one another, I try to teach my children to love one another so we can feel the influence of the holy ghost in our home and enjoy the feelings of peace and joy. Although this is not always the case with small children who are still learning to share, my testimony of the gospel still gives me the hope and motivation to keep trying and gives me the strength to exercise patients and longsuffering and gentlness when dealing with my quarreling children. In it's simplest form, I live my faith by learning of and applying the teachings and commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ and when I am obedient I can see the blessings that come from my loving Heavenly Father.
